The Benefits of Carrier Comfort Network, in this case, iVu by Al Goodrow Junction Mechanical has begun a planned refit of two fifty thousand plus square foot multitenant office buildings. These buildings have a combination of obsolete and non-functioning zone control systems. The new systems are Carrier's 3V Comfort Network zoning systems. The buildings ran twenty-four seven with no energy management. The tenants complained of high energy costs and lack of comfort. Approximately one quarter of each building has been refitted with C.C.N. (Carrier Comfort Network). Temperature levels in the newly refitted areas hold within .5 degrees of set point. Air flows are now constantly monitored and air noise complaints have disappeared. At the present time the building is connected to Junction Mechanical's offices via a direct dial-up modem. Upon completion of the projects, Carrier's new iVu product will be installed. iVu will allow total building access over the internet. This will allow the buildings owner's and or property managers to access the building from anywhere and monitor conditions. They, as well as Junction Mechanical will receive alarms via pop-ups screens, a text message should any areas exceed temperature parameters. Energy consumption is expected to fall dramatically and potential tax deductions for the building owners under 179D of the Internal Revenue Code.
